Hey Lisa

Great question! It is better for the water to be slightly warmer than room temperature as it is more gentle on our stomachs as the environment inside there is warm too. This gently wakes up the digestive system preparing it for the day ahead. Room temp is better than nothing so if you feel more comfortable drinking it that way then that would be fine.
