Of course you can! You can simply use spring water or almond milk works fine too! Yes you can use a sweetener you prefer but I wouldn&#039;t recommend ever having agave as it is basically high fructose corn syrup, which is very bad for us. 

Agave:
-It has a low-glycemic index because it’s largely made of fructose, the single most damaging form of sugar.
-It has the highest fructose content of any commercial sweetener on the market.
-Compared to the 1:1 fructose/glucose ratio of sugar and high fructose corn syrup, agave nearly has a whopping 2:1 ratio.

I know this is a lot of info but i always want the best for my community. Try using honey, sugavida or even dates! I hope this helps!
