Green Apple Cider Vinegar Cleansing Tonic Recipe
This week’s Green Apple Cider Vinegar Cleansing Tonic Recipe contains ingredients that are great for cleansing and rejuvenating the body. This is similar to our Must Have Morning Green Smoothie but has Apple cider vinegar in it. This combination with lemon, which is another amazing cleansing food, really gives you a lovely nourishing delicious smoothie!
ACV (aka Apple cider vinegar)
This for sure is an important ingredient to have stocked in your kitchen! Apple cider vinegar promotes optimal digestion, detoxifies the body as it is a liver and lymphatic tonic, balances PH levels in the body and even whitens teeth!
What is Apple cider vinegar exactly? Apple cider vinegar is made using active yeast that is combined with sugar. in this case, it is the natural sugars from the crushed apples. The yeast actually then consumes the sugar and uses this to grow healthy bacteria (this is called fermentation). Pasteurization is not required, as this kills the delicate nutrients and enzymes. What’s quite amazing is the acidity of the vinegar is enough to prevent unhealthy bacteria (such as E.Coli), from developing. Once the fermentation process is complete, the result is the formation of acetic acid-the main beneficial compound found in apple cider vinegar

ACV is a liver and lymphatic tonic which can help detox the body. It helps to balance your body’s pH and stimulates cardiovascular stimulation and aids bowel motility and lymphatic drainage.

Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 apples
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 cup spinach
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 cup kale
- 1 cup spring water
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients to the blender until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
