Pineapple Mint Digestive Refresher Smoothie Recipe
With the days getting longer and warmer and showing skin is something we can’t avoid, I thought it would be the perfect time to share my Pineapple Mint Digestive Refresher Smoothie to cool you down and keep your digestion flowing to have you looking good throughout the coming summer months, whilst of course keeping you fully nourished and hydrated. As we know digestion is key when it comes to our beauty. Our skin, hair and mood can flourish when our bodies are working properly and this weeks smoothie will defiantly do that. This is definitely my go-to when it gets a little too hot and uncomfortable. The combination of the sweet pineapple and the freshness of the mint is sooo satisfying and super easy to do as this recipe only contains 4 ingredients!
Pineapple
Pineapples are one of my favourite fruits of all time! Not only do they taste delicious but they are hydrating and are packed with bromelain (an enzyme) which has anti-inflammatory properties on the body which helps reduce the onset of ageing, pain and even diseases! Pineapples are loaded with Vitamin C which we know supports our immune system but also the vitamin C combined with the antioxidants in this wonderful fruit help with supporting eye health as we age! Pineapples also help the body naturally detoxify itself and lose weight promoting optimal digestion making pineapple the perfect beauty food!
Mint
I love mint in my smoothies, it adds such a fresh, cooling element which is ideal when you want relief from a hot sweaty day but did you know that mint is also a great beauty food? This herb is a key player when it comes to digestion, just the smell of the herb actives the salivary glands in your mouth as well as glands which secrete digestive enzymes, prepping the body for optimum digestion. Mint is also soothing on the stomach in cases of indigestion or inflammation. Just drinking a cup of fresh mint tea can give you relief!

Pineapple Mint Digestive Refresher Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup of frozen pineapple
- Handful of mint
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of coconut water
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients into your blender and blend at high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a glass, kick back and enjoy.
