My easy 4 ingredient recipe allows you to make a mug anytime you want so you can kick back, relax and sip away guilt free.
Cacao is a source of natural chocolate has an abundance of health properties from lowering blood pressure, focus and alertness, aids digestion and bowl related diseases to enhancing your mood. It is very rich in minerals like iron and calcium and a good source of sulphur, magnesium and phenylethylamine and is an excellent source of monounsaturated fat, cholesterol-free saturated fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, natural carbohydrates and protein.

Highest Plant-Based Source of Iron
At a whopping 7.3mg per 100g, Cacao is the highest plant-based source of iron known to man. Iron improves muscle function, increases brain function, treats Restless Leg Syndrome, treats anemia, carries oxygen around the body, eliminates fatigue and treats insomnia, to name a few. You can see why ensuring we have plenty of iron in our diet is vital.
The amount of iron you need is:
- 8.7mg a day for men over 18

Dairy Free Indulgent Hot Chocolate Recipe
yeilds 1 cup
- 1 tablespoon Cacao
- 3 Dates (remove the pips)
- 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
- 1 cup of Almond milk
- Place all the ingredients into a blender (remember to remove the pips from the dates) and blend at full speed.
- If your blender heats then allow it to run until mixture gets hot. Otherwise pour the mixture into a pan and heat gently. Don’t boil it! You don’t want to loose the nutrients.
- Pour into you’re favourite mug and enjoy!
