Crunchy Carrot Cake Smoothie Recipe
Don’t you love sweet treats that aren’t bad for you and don’t set you back, I know I do! Which is why I made a dessert cake inspired smoothie. My delicious Crunchy Carrot Cake Smoothie Recipe will definitely settle that sweet tooth and flood your body full of essential vitamins and important beauty nutrients, guilt free!
One thing I’ve never forgotten since I was a kid was always being reminded to eat my carrots as they would keep my eyes healthy and vision so sharp that I’d be able to see in the dark! Lol as well as those reasons carrots are also a fantastic beauty food keeping in skin glowing and hair growing strong, long and thick. Carrots contain high amounts of beta-carotene the precursor of vitamin A, the vitamin responsible for having a moisturized, shiny head of hair and promoting scalp health. The perfect combination to grow healthy strong hair. If all that wasn’t enough to get you running to your blender to make this smoothie, carrots also contain fiber, iron, potassium, calcium, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, K and biotin.
Did you know that when you regularly eat carrots you get that ‘warm glow’, you know when you see healthy people that have that ‘inner radiant thing going on well that would be the work of the humble carrot as they are high in carotenoids and this improves the healthiness and attractiveness of facial skin! These same carotenoids provide sun protection.
Carrots clean your teeth and mouth! When you bite down on one it scrapes off food particles and plaque. Carrots also stimulate the gums which induces excess saliva. Saliva is an alkaline substance and combats bacteria and foreign substances that can cause many oral health problems.
The antioxidant beta-carotene in carrots is thought to protect cell membranes from oxidative stress and inhibit the growth of cancer. Carrots also contain a natural compound falcarinol, which scientists found slowed down the growth of cancer lesions in mice!
The coumarin found in carrots has been linked to reducing hypertension and protects your heart health. Carrots also contain potassium which is a vasodilator meaning this relaxes the tension in your blood vessels and arteries, increasing blood flow and circulation, boosting organ function throughout the body and reducing stress on the cardiovascular system.
Carrots are rich in Vitamin A which is responsible for improving eyesight and preventing age related eye problems that develop as we age. But we all knew that one right!? Lol

Crunchy Carrot Cake Smoothie Recipe
- 2 carrots
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 1/2 nch of creamed coconut
- 1 banana
- 3 dates
- Half a cup of dried mulberries
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Place all the ingredients apart from the mulberries in the blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Once blended add in the mulberries and lightly pulse for a few seconds to lightly break up the mulberries, we want to get a good crunchy consistency throughout.
- Pour into a Glass and enjoy.
